1913 Hornsby 'L' Type 8HP Oil Engine
This is the Hornsby as found lying in a field where it had been for four years. The history is a bit sketchy but it was supplied to R Yates and Sonof Malton who were the agents. It was then sold to a farm in Pickering, from there it ended up at Ryedale Folk Museum and then I purchased it to save it from the ravages of the weather.
We decided the best way to move it was to lift the crank off and then we used the museums tractor to load it onto the trailer for the journey back to York.
