![]() ![]() ![]() Tony Simons' presence on the World Wide WebBiography Born 1952 and spent most of my working life in Education, teaching and promoting Engineering, in and around York. I was the STEM Manager for NYBEP and I worked for 4 years at the NRM on the Schools programme, before returning to York College. Currently I am the Team Leader of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at York College. Hopefully retiring (again) soon so I can progress the many projects that I am involved with, and Ellen and I can go away in the Caravan (Ellen sold the caravan!) and visit places we have always wanted to go to. I have retired! Except that I am still doing 2 days at the College. Plus I run the ATOC course at the NRM 2 weeks every now and then, and I am joint Project Leader with Richard Gibbon for the BESTT project. Interests Classic cars - have owned many and currently have a Rover P6. Click on the links to see what I have owned. I have been involved with NECPWA since 1973 having been Editor, Membership Secretary, Committee Member and Webmaster. Stationary Engines - which seem to be multiplying! I am on the comittee for the Derwent Valley Light Railway and volunteer at the railway on many mechanical projects. I am currently helping out at Thwaite Mills restoring their Marshall |
